About Matsquatch

Matsquatch is a one stop, full service location company that caters to the infinite world of media production. This is not a job, not just a career; locations is a lifestyle. It’s a state of mind, it’s a state of existence. We believe that your creative visions deserve more than digging through dusty files. We believe that your vision deserves to be met with customized creativity and boots on the ground.

We scout with your particular vision in mind and work diligently to lens it up. Providing full coverage photography and always searching for “the shot.” When that shot cannot be found from the ground, we start the propellers and take to the sky. We march fearlessly into scenarios that would intimidate most, never afraid to ask the questions and pitch the otherwise impossible.

Let us do the paperwork. Filing your permits, agreements and insurances. Beyond scouting, Matsquatch management is a disciplined, resource-recruiting beast that provides accommodations with optimal logistical consideration. We know where the pieces go, how best to get them there on time and ready to work. From overhead maps and driving directions to sourcing vendors, we strive to provide every amenity that you left back at the studio.

We believe that the production experience is interesting, enjoyable and often exciting. From our hosts to our traffic control agents, we enjoy sharing these experiences with everyone involved. We believe in accountability and stewardship, always leaving a location in as good, if not better shape than we found it. We are the first smile you see when you arrive on location and the last smile you see after wrap.

Let’s get together, get creative and get out there!

Introducing Mathew Noack

Growing up a Boy Scout in rural Oregon, I spent my days exploring the rugged landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Fascinated by it’s diversity and always curious to discover what was around the next bend. During my sophomore year of high school I was swept into local and state politics as the youth representative, rallying resources and funding for the “Brian Haney Memorial Skatepark” project in my home town of Aumsville. Upon it’s completion and my graduation from high school, I set out to expand my horizons in the mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado.

It was while living in the small mountain town that I learned of an entertainment trade school in Florida, Full Sail University. I attended Full Sail, graduating in the top of my class with perfect attendance. I took my student resume and headed for New York City, couch surfing and knocking on doors until I started working steadily as a Production Assistant. It wasn’t long before I was swept into the Locations department. This is where the skills learned growing up rural, my insatiable drive to explore, strong understanding of each department’s work, communication and organizational skills came together like the perfect storm.

After years of working Locations in the Feature Film and Television industries of New York, the scenic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest called me home. Returning to Oregon, I settled into Portland and started the next chapter of backcountry exploration, adventure and media production. It’s been nearly 20 years since I started my career in Locations and I still get excited with each new project.
